Getting Started

Quick Setup Guide

  1. Visit ModPhone and create an account.
  2. Log in to access your dashboard.
  3. Click "Add New Number" to begin setup.

Managing Phone Numbers

Getting a Phone Number

  1. Click "Add New Number" in the dashboard.
  2. Enter a 3-digit area code.
  3. Click "Search Numbers" to view available options.
  4. Select your preferred number.
  5. Enter your business name.
  6. Click "Purchase Number" to complete setup.

Voice Options

Choose from 8 different AI voices:

• Woman 1 (Default)
• Man 1
• Woman 2
• Man 2
• Woman 3
• Man 3
• Woman 4
• Man 4

Content Management

Website Integration

Quick Save

  1. Enter your website URL.
  2. Click "Quick Save".
  3. Content is automatically processed for you to review.
  4. Save contents to knowledge base, which will be used by your agent.

Advanced Options

  1. Click "Advanced Options".
  2. Set page limit if needed. Some websites are too large to completely learn; try 10 pages at first.
  3. You may also select specific pages to include in the knowledge base. Multiple domains are supported (e.g., example1.com and example2.com).
  4. Enable monitoring for automatic daily updates to keep your knowledge base automatically updated.

Call your number to verify:

  • Business information accuracy
  • Voice and response quality
  • Call handling logic

Frequently Asked Questions

How many phone numbers can I have?

You can have multiple phone numbers based on your subscription plan. The Starter plan includes one number.

What happens if the AI can't answer a question?

The AI will politely acknowledge its limitations and offer to forward the call to a human operator if configured.

Can I change my phone number's voice?

Yes, you can choose from 8 different voices (4 male, 4 female) in the number settings at any time.

How often is website content updated?

For monitored pages, content is checked daily for changes. You can also manually refresh content anytime.

What happens during system maintenance?

The phone system remains operational during maintenance. Any updates are performed without service interruption.

Can I port my existing number?

Number porting is coming soon. Currently, you can only select new numbers from our inventory.

Be Concise

In your agent's instructions, encourage concise responses by stating, "Try to limit your responses to 1-2 sentences."

Specify a unique greeting in the instructions to give callers a personalized experience.

Call Forwarding

Forward your existing business line to your AI-powered number to ensure seamless customer interactions. Here's how to set it up with major carriers:

AT&T

  1. Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Keypad tab.
  3. Dial *61*YourAINumber# (e.g., *61*1234567890#).
  4. Press the Call button. You'll receive a confirmation message.

To deactivate, dial #61# and press Call.

Verizon

  1. Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Keypad tab.
  3. Dial *71YourAINumber (e.g., *711234567890).
  4. Press the Call button. You'll receive a confirmation tone.

To deactivate, dial *73 and press Call.

T-Mobile

  1. Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Keypad tab.
  3. Dial **004*YourAINumber# (e.g., **004*1234567890#).
  4. Press the Call button. You'll receive a confirmation message.

To deactivate, dial ##004# and press Call.

Note

Forwarded calls may incur additional charges. Please check with your carrier for details. Ensure that your AI number is set up and ready to receive calls before activating call forwarding.
